We asked Christina Esposito to join the podcast team once a month to give us a different perspective on the lacrosse world. In her first solo podcast she did just that with her guest, Juliet Barnes.
Juliet Barnes – Going Offsides
Christina attended and played lacrosse at Northwestern University. It was at NU that she met Juliet Barnes, a person whom Christina holds a special place for, which becomes obvious after listening to his podcast.
Juliet Barnes is the newest assistant facility manager at Illinois Bone and Joint Institute in Highland Park, Illinois. She is an athletic trainer with more than 18 years of experience working in a myriad of sports environments, previously working at AthletiCo, the USA Men’s and Women’s National Soccer teams, the WNBA’s Chicago Sky, and has helped at a number of local high schools and junior colleges. Juliet also supported Northwestern University Women’s Lacrosse team for nine seasons, winning two national championships.
Juliet earned her master’s in sports administration at Northwestern University and her BA in athletic training from Illinois State University. Juliet has recently relocated back to Illinois from Los Angeles. She’s passionate about sports medicine – she understands the importance and critical need for athletes to return to play safely at all levels of the game.
