Lacrossewear is a team sales giant based out of Florida that focuses on hooking teams up with some of the sharpest looking sublimated and customized gear in the game. The brand has been around for as long as I can remember and now we have to break some sad news about our friends over at Lacrossewear.
For over a decade, Nate Hope and his wife Rita have been a huge part of the Lacrossewear family. It was last year that we learned that Nate was diagnosed with colon cancer, which we were also informed that he had overcome the disease. With heavy heart we must inform our lacrosse family that Nate recently learned that he’s going to have another battle with cancer, this time the disease has made its way to his liver and lungs.
Update: Nate saw his doctors again this week and they have diagnosed him in stage 4. The cancer has also now spread to his bones.
Nate found his calling as a minister at the House of Lord Christian Center for well over twenty-five years, counseling troubled teens coming from prison and helping them through the rehabilitation process. Nate has always had the goal to council and pray for those who he believes deserve a second chance or a better place in our society.
We are calling out the entire lacrosse community to come together and assist the Hope family in raising additional funds to help offset the cost of radiation and chemotherapy. We want to give Nate has every opportunity possible to win this fight, as he has given so much to his community and to lacrosse.
Nate has made his life all about making the world a better place, let’s show him how good of a job he’s been doing.
