A brand new video series called “Lax Experiment” just debuted on Facebook Watch in partnership with Legacy Global Sports and First Scout Productions. The new series, sponsored by Maverik and Cascade, follows the St. Sebastian’s varsity boys lacrosse team throughout the 2018 spring season.
St. Sebastian’s School (or “St. Sebs” as many refer to it) is an all-boys Catholic school in Needham, Massachusetts, with a rich history in our game. The boys lacrosse team is coming off an impressive 2017 season during which they were ranked as high as no. 8 in the country according to USA Today. The Arrows were Independent School League Co-Champions with an 18-3 record and made it all the way to the semifinals at the Geico High School National Championships.
Why is it called the Lax Experiment?
It’s simple, really: total viewership of this series will help determine the future of lacrosse on Facebook Watch. If a ton of people enjoy this follow St. Sebastian’s, lacrosse could get more support and, who knows, Mark Zuckerberg might become a lacrosse fan.
Facebook and the crew at First Scout Productions, a division of Legacy Global Sports, have worked their magic to bring the 2018 season to life for the lacrosse community worldwide, and so far feedback has been exceptionally positive. Revenge Is Sweet
St. Sebastian’s starts the 2018 lacrosse season off with a big game against IMG Academy. After losing a heartbreaker to the Ascenders in 2017, the Arrows put their off-season work to the test in what is certain to set the tone for an exciting season.
