Epoch Brings Designs and Technology Back to the US

Epoch Lacrosse recently announced the formation of it new state of the art carbon fiber manufacturing facility in Roseville, MN that will bring the design, testing and manufacturing of its products back to the US while creating American jobs. Epoch’s new manufacturing division will operate under the name C6 Composites LLC.

“We know that today’s lacrosse players are looking for equipment that pushes the design and technology envelope in a effort to maximize performance and playability,” said James Miceli, founder and Principal of Epoch Lacrosse.  “By bringing our technology, designs and manufacturing back to the US we will have access to an abundance of suppliers and engineers all with vast advanced materials experience.  The US military has been the main driver of carbon fiber technology and we believe the bleed off of technology and access to advanced composite materials will further strengthen our technology based market position for the sport of lacrosse.”

“We are very proud to employ the most creative and forward thinking engineers who have in fact all played lacrosse,” added Miceli.  “Our new manufacturing facility will supercharge the product development process and give our engineers the freedom to design products that will set a new benchmark for lacrosse equipment design,” added Miceli.  “By the end of 2017, our goal is to have 65 percent of our revenue come from products that we manufacture here in the United States.”

In October of 2015, Epoch opened the doors to its 10,000 square foot state of the art research and development facility in Roseville, Minnesota.  The launch of C6 Composites has also led to the creation of several new manufacturing related jobs in the Minneapolis area.

“Being able to control the design, development, engineering and manufacturing process here in the United States gives Epoch a major market advantage,” said Jason Daniel, C6 Composites Product Engineer.  “All of the manufacturing equipment being used to make Epoch’s high performance lacrosse shafts is custom designed and engineered.  This isn’t equipment you can buy off the shelf.  This was custom made exclusively for Epoch and the manufacture of lacrosse equipment.”

Epoch has quickly become an industry leader in the use of carbon-fiber in the design of its game-changing lacrosse equipment.  Epoch’s engineers, who all have a lacrosse background, are constantly experimenting and testing the latest composite materials in their designs and making real-time changes based on how a prototype feels when they play with it.

“Our turn around time from prototype to finished product is just a matter of days, if not hours,” said Daniel.  “We look at everything down to a microscopic level, from the makeup of the fibers to the resins and the angles used in the lay up process of the carbon fiber.  We have very high quality control standards and our products are tested to the most stringent of quality and performance standards.”

“We don’t look at ourselves as a lacrosse company that focuses on design and technology,” said Miceli.  “We are a design and technology company that happens to make lacrosse equipment.  We hope that we can serve as a catalyst for innovation in the lacrosse world.”

Epoch’s goal is to market our products in a classy and respectable manner. We have tested and re-tested each design to ensure durability, playability and performance are optimized. In our world, science and technology validate design. Engineers and players work in harmony to surpass boundaries, so its time to expand your game and let your hands feel the difference. Live Epoch. Play Epoch. Be Epoch.
