Rory McGuire Uncommitted All Star

5’11” 160 pound Rory McGuire is starting to turn some heads with the way he’s approaching the game. When it comes to the two-man play, on or off ball, Rory makes it look all too simple. Hailing from the west Chicago suburbs, this junior lefty goes hard at the cage, but also finds a way to distribute the wealth amongst the whole squad.

The 2019 attackman brings a wealth of value to his Fenwick High School and East Ave Elite teams. A member of the varsity squad for two years, Rory has developed into an All-Conference athlete before he even reached his junior season. He’s got fantastic vision off-ball and gets to where he team needs him the most on the field. A natural finisher, if he’s got the ball and a look, it’s likely ending up in the back of the cage.

“The youngest of all lax family – helped with strong lax IQ, passion and purpose on the field.”

Rory is also building on his 3.0 GPA, making himself attractive to college coaches that stress the importance of academics on top of athletics. On the field, he’s just as bright, finding ways to use picks creatively, see the play develop two steps ahead, and do what’s best for the team. It won’t be long before Rory makes waves outside of just the Illinois lacrosse scene.

Rory McGuire According To Coach:

“Rory’s lacrosse IQ is simply off the charts. He takes advanced, intelligent attack lines and creates offense with his very deceptive and effective change of direction. Elite, box-level awareness in the two-man game both on and off-ball. Rory truly loves the game and will continue to improve and excel.”
