We took all of the first round teams of the 2014 NCAA Lacrosse Tournament and broke down each roster and divided the players by state and province. Since all of the rosters had to be checked by hand, we can promise that a ton of effort was put forth, but our numbers could be slightly off (nobody’s perfect)!

Video: Harvard Knocks Off Undefeated Cornell

Cornell is no longer the sole undefeated team in D1 after they dropped a decision to Harvard, 14-9, on their home field in Ithaca, NY. Cornell took leads of 1-0, 4-1, and 6-4, but Harvard fought back and tied it up each time. Harvard took the lead for the first time early in the third quarter to go up 7-6, and never looked back from there.

UVA was up 5-2 on Cornell in the second quarter and looking to improve to 7-0. Cornell said not so fast, scored 9 straight goals, and took a commanding 11-5 lead. Cornell ended up winning the game 12-9 as UVA tried to claw their way back in, but to no avail.

Head Coach Ben DeLuca Dismissed From Cornell

Ben DeLuca was dismissed as the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Cornell University today. The school issued an ambiguous statement thanking DeLuca for his work (he was there for over ten years as a player and coach), and stating that the program needed new leadership. They then promoted assistant coach Matt Kerwick.
