Low Final Four Lacrosse Attendance: ONE REASON

A big topic of discussion this Spring has been the relatively low attendance at the NCAA Quarterfinals, and Final Four weekend. The usual outlets are offering the usual banal reasons, but doing little to actually think about what is going wrong here.

Ridiculous Connor English Shovel Shot Goal

Sure, Cornell lost the game, but this shot is simply too remarkable not to watch over and over again. It’s called getting creative kids, and we love seeing stuff like this go down at the highest levels of the game!

Syracuse Vs Duke: Live Photos and Blog

Chris Rosenthall has been in Philly all weekend, taking in the games, and providing his thoughts on the weekend. Tommy Gilligan is in Philly shooting the D1 title game, and he got some amazing shots from Le Moyne’s D2, and Stevenson’s D3, title games yesterday.

Final Four Preview: D1 Lacrosse on Saturday

Lincoln Financial Field will host a lot of lacrosse this weekend, and two of the five games go down on Saturday, in the men’s lacrosse NCAA D1 semifinals. We’ve got Syracuse – Denver, and Duke – Cornell. Both should be excellent games. So let’s break down what we can expect from each match up.

Ridiculous Josh Dionne Goal Redux

We’re big Josh Dionne fans. Why, you ask? He’s got it all, and he scores some crazy unlikely goals. Allow us to explain a little further with some video evidence.

Photo Of The Weekend: What Is Gravity?

Tommy Gilligan snapped a ton of great photos from the Cornell – Ohio State game, as well as the Syracuse – Yale thriller. These two shots in particular from the Cuse – Yale game stood out, even if Yale got the better of the action here, while the Orange came out victorious.

Saturday Day LIVE: Game Photos!

Wooooo! What a day of lacrosse! We’ve got a ton of Lacrosse on TV, MCLA Championships being broadcast online (8pm ET), the D3 Final Four is going down, and the D2 Final Four is also on tap. The MLL is also getting into the action. There is almost too much lacrosse today, but thankfully, “too much lacrosse” is not a real thing!

NCAA D1 Lacrosse: A New Champion in 2013?

When one looks at the eight remaining NCAA D1 men’s lacrosse teams, it is easy to notice that half the teams have won national championships before, and half have not. What didn’t jump out to me right away (but came to me late at night in a dream) is that no past winners are playing each other, and neither are any first time hopefuls.

We’re Down To EIGHT: Sunday D1 Lacrosse Recap

ND/Cuse Game Photos by Tommy Gilligan

What was once 16, is now 8. In Saturday’s games, you did NOT want to come out with an early lead. It was basically a death sentence. Totally coincidental? Probably. On Sunday, we were treated to a great slate of games, and these four did not disappoint.
