US Lacrosse and U.S. men’s senior team head coach John Danowski today announced the men’s Team USA roster for its exhibition against the University of Notre Dame at the annual Team USA Spring Premiere in Bradenton, Fla. The game is set for 1 p.m. ET Sunday, Jan. 15 at IMG Academy.

The 30-player roster includes eight players from the 2014 U.S. men’s national team that earned silver at the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championship in Denver, Colo. Danowski will lead Team USA in its pursuit for a record 10th gold medal at the 2018 FIL World Championship in Manchester, England.

This is our third event [since the coaching staff has been named]. The first two events have far exceeded the coaching staff’s expectations in terms of individual focus and the creation of team culture. With that being said, we will continue to look at additional players to assess their fit. We are not necessarily looking for the most skilled players because they are all skilled, but the right players to create the best team possible at this time.

– Coach Danowski
