In what was perhaps the most entertaining game of the conference tournament weekend, Quinnipiac and Marist had offensive explosions. In this clip we see a great example of the two-man exchange and how to take advantage of defensive mistakes.
Two Man Game: #FilmBreakdown
1. #20 of Quinnipiac sets up a dodge at the top of the box.
2. As he dodges he literally points to the spot he wants his teammate to set the pick.
3. One Marist defender thinks they’re switching, one doesn’t, classic miscommunication. Given the speed of the dodge the Marist on ball defender is too far out of position to recover.
4. #34 of Quinnipiac fades into space, receives the ball, and buries a long range bomb.
Take away’s from the two man exchange: Over communicate, talk early, talk often, limit these situations.
