I got to check out the Nike Lakota head, which has been out for a while and has emerged as a high school favorite, and I was pretty impressed with the product. It’s a really good option for a youth, high school, or post-collegiate player because it’s pretty tough, has a solid price point, and is a charm to string for the most part.

There are some highlights, and lowlights, as with any product, and I give you the best and the worst features of the NFHS-legal Nike Lakota head.

  • Loved the first one I got, but it broke at the lip when I scooped through for a gb. Lots of people swear by these!

  • My favorite head, I have used it for two seasons now, and it has held up great. I love it for offense, but when my fall ball team lost one of it’s d-poles for the game, I threw it on a pole and went out, and it worked like a charm.

  • Will it work for Faceoffs?
I recently somehow broke my blade pro. id say im more of a heavy clamp/pinch and pop type of guy. what type of head would u recommend for a HS player, tht has a flex like the warrior outlaw but stiff so it dnt flex on a gb

  • @Azn17 no lakota is not good for faceoffs becuase they warp very easy i use the maverik spider x spec and it works great
