Tweet of the Week: No Bad USAMLAX Picks

Tweet of the Week

The Team USA 30-man roster was announced last night on The Lacrosse Network, culminating TLN’s “Road to the Rockies” miniseries documentary on the USAMLAX tryout process. And Bull Dodge Lax has a reminder for us: there are really no bad USAMLAX picks.

USA 30-Man Roster – HE Made It?

Fall Scrimmage: Team USA Vs. Loyola

By now you’ve probably seen the 30-man roster for Team USA’s run to the World Championships this Summer in Denver. I’ll run through who made the cut officially, which players/positions saw some surprises selections or snubs, and what could be Team USA’s biggest weakness!

Tweet of the Week: Who is Kevin Leveille?

Tweet of the Week

Who is Kevin Leveille? According to Quint, Carc, and Eamon, he’s the best American inside finisher ever, and Connor Wilson agrees. I agree too, and I think University of Michigan Assistant Coach Ryan Danehy feels the same way.

The Lacrosse Show is BACK!

After a month off, TLS is back with a vengeance. Connor talks to two prime time guests in Kyle Sweeney and Drew Adams, and they talk about NLL, MLL, the upcoming college season, Tewaaraton favorites, US team tryouts, and more. Future versions of The Lacrosse Show will be airing on Wednesdays now, so keep an eye peeled to our YouTube channel!

They Said WHAT? Quint, Carc, & Eamon

Fall Scrimmage: Team USA Vs. Loyola

Lacrosse people are opinionated, and this is true when it comes to fans, writers, and yes, even TV announcers. Quint Kessenich (I’m a big fan!), Paul Carcaterra, and Eamon McAnaney do a great job with broadcasts, but they also say some rather interesting things from time to time, and here is where we sift through it all to find the hidden gems, and potentially missed points!

Rethinking My 23-Man Team USA Roster

Fall Scrimmage: Team USA Vs. Loyola

After watching the Team USA Blue-White scrimmage a couple of times now, I’m starting to overanalyze the 23-man selections I made before the weekend, so here is my updated team, based SOLELY on the action we saw on Sunday. It’s definitely a different list than what I came up with on Thursday!

Throwback Thursday: USA – Canada 1990 Video

usa_canada_lacrosse_1990

The lacrosse world championships traveled down under to Perth, Australia in 1990 but playing in the Southern Hemisphere didn’t do much to change the pecking order for national teams. Canada and the US obviously matched up for a great game and the video picks up the play with the US up 5-2 early in the second quarter.

Bowhunter Cup Rosters: US and Iroquois

2014 Bowhunter Cup Canceled

The Iroquois are 2-1 agains the US in Bowhunter Cup games, and 3-0 against the US at the WILC. The Iroquois won last year’s Bowhunter Cup 12-10. The Nationals are sending out a relatively seasoned group of players, and they will have plenty of offensive fire power. The US is sending out a younger team, with good box pedigrees.

EXTENDED: Big USA Lacrosse Hit GIF

Craig Chase shot some great photos at the USA – Loyola scrimmage last weekend in Alexandria, VA, but some of them are even better in sets! A couple of great images from a big hit makes for a great GIF, and in this case, the hit is VERY clean, and from what we can tell, completely legal.

USA White Vs. USA Blue Video

Do you have any guesses as to who is going to make the next cut for Team USA, and who will represent the red, white, and blue in Denver in 2014? We’ve heard some rumblings and rumors, but we want to hear YOUR opinion first!
