CUFLA Champions: Guelph Documentary
The Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA) is a really interesting collegiate lacrosse league! It’s not like NCAA lacrosse, in that is is club, but is also the best college field ball being played North of the Border. Jack Hallett, a student at Guelph, followed around the team for the year, and documented the entire season. Now he has put together a 40 minute documentary, and it’s stellar!
Loyola Beats Navy 7-6: GIF Save City
Loyola travelled to Annapolis to take on the Navy Midshipmen on Saturday, and the Hounds emerged with a hard tough 7-6 Patriot League win, but it took two overtime periods to decide the winner. Both keepers saw some serious heat, and we’re rewarding them in GIF format for their excellent efforts.

I’m not going to lie, I am VERY excited for tonight’s Albany vs. Johns Hopkins game on ESPNU (7pm ET). In my rabid fandom I searched for videos of the Thompsons, and while I came across a number of well known classics, I also found a hidden gem that has somehow slipped through the cracks. How does this video of Lyle Thompson (playing for Lafayette HS) only have 771 views?

Superb High School Lacrosse Video
A three minute highlight tape is better than nothing. Everyone gets to see some big goals and their attention span is not tested to any serious degree. When an 11:00 minute plus highlight comes out, it had better be good, and it had better feature two very good teams.

Throwback Thursday: USA Vs Canada Box Lacrosse 1985
The year was 1985, and the Philadelphia Spectrum was playing host to the IBLA Exhibition Series between the US and Canada. This series pitted the best US box players against the best that Canada had to offer and the guys on both rosters served as a who’s who of lacrosse in the mid 80s. This event was also called the North American Cup, and was a very cool concept.
