Cascade Renews Partnership With MLL

Major League Lacrosse (MLL) announced today that Cascade, the leader in lacrosse headgear for the last 33 years, has renewed its partnership. Cascade will be the exclusive helmet partner for Major League Lacrosse’s twentieth anniversary season.

“Cascade has been a partner of Major League Lacrosse since its inception and we are thrilled to be growing that partnership this year,” said MLL’s Chief Revenue Officer, Mark Burdett. “Given our storied history, we are excited to be celebrating our twenty years of lacrosse with Cascade across our social channels. Our players have always been protected by the best with Cascade and we a proud to carry that tradition forward.”

In the twenty weeks leading up to MLL’s twentieth anniversary season, Major League Lacrosse has been diving into the archives and sharing highlights of the league’s history. Cascade is joining in the celebration of MLL’s twenty years by presenting all digital content shared. Twenty Years of MLL Powered by Cascade offers fans clips from MLL legends like Brian Reese, Mark Millon, Casey Powell, Brian Spallina, Brendan Mundorf and many others. Fans will be able to see posters, gear worn and read articles from MLL’s history.

“After twenty years of partnership, we are proud to continue our support for the league and every player participating in the MLL. A calculated balance between vision, comfort, and protection empowers players to perform at their full potential — a necessity for professional lacrosse,” said Patrick O’Toole, Director of Marketing for Cascade Maverik. “We’re excited to witness success this season on both sides of the field with elite talent from across the nation.”

Cascade strives to be on the leading edge of design and safety; they have and will always devote substantial resources to research and development. Cascade continually works with top-level scientists to fully understand the impacts associated with the sport of lacrosse and how to design equipment to help reduce the risk of injury. Cascade chooses to produce all of its products right in Liverpool, NY at the company headquarters. While more and more American companies are pursuing inexpensive production options overseas, Cascade produces its helmets and eyemasks in an environment where their design team can be certain that their vision is properly executed. It is more expensive to produce in the United States but to Cascade, there is no other option. When it comes to head and eye protection total control of the production process is a necessity.

Cascade has championed the growth of lacrosse across the country. Outside of their partnership with MLL they also partner with Penn State, Albany, Brown, Air Force Academy, Villanova, Georgetown, Michigan, Lafayette, Dartmouth, High Point, Jacksonville, Richmond and Rutgers. Cascade is also a partner of Fairfield University, the new home of MLL’s Connecticut Hammerheads. Cascade invests in MLL players, including 2019 MLL Champions and Chesapeake Bayhawks standouts Nick Mariano and CJ Costabile, Outlaws’ faceoff specialist Max Adler and Boston Cannons’ attackman Will Sands.

“It is great to see the renewed partnership between Cascade and Major League Lacrosse,” said Nick Mariano. “Cascade has been a loyal partner to me, and to the league. They make the best helmets in the game, and they always have. It’s been fun to watch the evolution of their helmets through the MLL archive content this offseason.”
