UPDATED: No one was perfect, although many were close. Therefore there is no awesome prize. HOWEVER, there will be another Pick ’em Challenge THIS weekend. So do your research and get ready to NAIL the predictions!
There are so many great college lacrosse games this weekend that we simply had to try something new and fun today. I am going to supply you with TEN great match ups and then YOU have to pick the winners in the comments section. If anyone gets all ten predictions right, we’ll hook them up with some sweet LAS gear!
So check out the TEN college lacrosse games being played this weekend, which are listed below, and then make your predictions as to who will win in the comments section! Get them all right and you’ll be rewarded! To “help” you guys out, I’ll list staff predictions, where available!
Denver at #8 North Carolina
Princeton at #5 Virginia
Connor is going with UVA. Tom agrees on the Cavs pick, but Woody is picking Princeton.
Yale at #4 Notre Dame
Connor goes with Notre Dame, but says this is a potential upset game. Tom doesn’t buy it and went with ND. Woody picked Yale.
Syracuse at #3 Duke
Connor picked Duke at home. Tom went with Syracuse in the upset and Woody went with Duke.
Colgate at #6 Massachusetts
Connor goes with UMass at home, Tom picks Colgate in the upset and Woody likes UMass.
Maryland at #7 Lehigh
I like Lehigh in a bit of a shootout, Tom like Maryland to get the win and Woody goes with Lehigh.
Stevens at Cortland
Now we’re at the D3 games and I’m the only one making picks. I only missed one pick (Goucher over WAC) in the first round and am feeling confident with my picks. I like Cortland here, but expect the game to be close. Red Dragons by 3.
Bowdoin at Union
This is Bowdoin Head Coach Tom McCabe’s last season and the Polar Bears want to make it special. Bowdoin wins on the road 11-9.
Trinity at Tufts
Trinity is riding a hot hand right now, so will it be enough to knock off Tufts? No. It’s playoff time, and that is where the Jumbos truly shine. Tufts by 4+, unless Trinity’s goalie plays out of his mind. In a good way. Then it’s Tufts by 1.
Cabrini at Dickinson
I don’t pick a lot of upsets, and it’s not because I don’t like them. I just don’t see them happening. Except here. Carbini needs to be hungry for a big NCAA win. They’ve been close before, but need to get over the hump. And Dickinson seems ripe for an upset loss. Carbini wins it on the road in OT.
Now that you’ve seen the games, AND seen our staff picks, it’s time for YOU to make the predictions yourself.
Drop your TEN winners in the comments and if you get them all correct, we’ll hook you up with some most excellent swag. The more entries we get from different people, the better the prizes will be. If 100 people enter, Connor might just give away a stick.
So make YOUR entry and then challenge your friends to our Pick ‘Em Challenge!
