Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!
I received a text this morning. It was a picture of a bright, sunny, blue sky with the question “What could possibly go wrong on such a beautiful day?” This text was on the heels a of a very rough 2 days for this person.
What a great attitude to take at the start of the day! The message, in my opinion, was a little off though. I was told a long time ago in a workshop, that the world tends to provide answers to the questions that we ask and that the negative answers tend to be the ones that are most apparent. For example, when we ask, “What could possibly go wrong?” or “How could things get worse?” we often find out. And a lot of the time, those happenings are not necessarily our fault.
So the question, isn’t so much about what could go wrong. There are an infinite number of things that could go wrong! The question is, how are we going to handle something if it goes wrong.
Every day we have a choice to make about how we are going to live that day. On such a beautiful day, instead of questioning what could go wrong, maybe the better option is to commit to maintaining an attitude of positivity, persistence, and resilience, despite anything that may go wrong.
