Is Salisbury BACK?

Last year SU went 17-6 (man, that’s a lot of games!) and lost to Stevenson in the NCAAs 12-6. Stevenson went on to win it all, and all of a sudden, people were talking about a new King of the South. But now, Salisbury releases a video on Vimeo titled We Are Salisbury, and it has to have you thinking that last year was an aberration. The guys at Salisbury are clearly ready to roll.

Tweet of the Week: UVA, Syracuse, and the Epic ACC

Tweet of the Week

Virginia vs. Syracuse is always one of of the games I circle on the calendar every season. The teams are perennial powerhouses in lacrosse, and their matchup is always entertaining. This year the game has more meaning with Syracuse joining the ACC, making it the first conference game between the Cavaliers and the Orange. There’s no other way to describe this one besides epic.

Providence Beats Boston U 10-7

Providence College made the short trip up Route 95 to visit Boston University last night, and the host Terriers dropped a 10-7 decision to the visiting Friars. Originally, the game had been scheduled to be played in Providence, but weather forced a change to Boston, and the game was played at Nickerson Field, where the Boston Cannons used to play games.

Mike Birney Scores from 20 Yards Out

We’ve seen some pretty impressive long-range goals scored in college lacrosse, but I don’t know that we’ve ever seen anything quite like this! Failed clears and weird bounces can produce typical 15 yard plus scores, but very rarely do you see an absolute bomb from well outside the restraining box… it’s even more rare to see on of those go in!

Early Thoughts On The NCAA D1 Lacrosse Season
