It’s conference championship time! This is a huge week for lacrosse, as the tournament is right around the corner. While some teams have already qualified, other teams will go head to head this week in order to try and get a bid into the NCAA tournament. Here’s a look at the conference tournaments, a look at the rankings, and some other story lines.

In what has quickly become an annual slugfest, the Salisbury Sea Gulls took down the Stevenson Mustangs in a top 5 NCAA D3 contest last night. As is often the case in an SU - SU game, there was plenty of laundry thrown by the refs, and the teams combined for 26 minutes of penalties via 29 infractions.

If you're not amped up for the Stevenson - Salisbury game this weekend, you've clearly got huge problems. It's going to an absolute throw down. I guarantee it! Last year was a very exciting year in Division 3 men's lacrosse, with Stevenson winning their first ever championship. Aurora College in Colorado made their first NCAA tournament, and won a game. RIT beat Cortland with a hidden ball trick, and Salisbury was finally dethroned as the most dominant team in the South, if only for a season. As fall ball and training continues to roll, here's a look at some of the top teams from last year, as well as a couple potential dark horses for 2014.
