Gear Review: NEW Proton Power by STX Lacrosse

A couple weeks back, Andrew Ratzke reviewed the classic Proton Power, and had the usual issues with the stick (a tad flimsy, and tough to string), so as soon as I got my hands on a NEW Proton Power by STX, I had to see if any improvements had been made. Is the head tougher? Is it easier to string? If the answer to those two questions is yes, the Proton Power will take a big step up in the ratings department.

Hot Pot: The Real Swag

There is something to be said for basic, get-down-to-business apparel, both athletic and otherwise. I don’t mind that there are so many manufacturers of apparel out there, but I am slightly concerned that the focus isn’t where it needs to be most of the time. In fact, I’m pretty sure we’re starting to get to leather jogging pants levels in some cases.

Lax Hacks: Top String Insurance

If you’re a dedicated lacrosse player, odds are you’re putting in a decent amount of time on the wall. You’ll probably be scooping the occasional groundball off the pavement or hard packed dirt. These rough surfaces will eventually take a toll on your scoop and topstring. In order to keep your topstring from completely fraying and giving out on you, we have a great little Lax Hack from Justin at Stylin Strings.
